At the Geneva Motor Show the modified Peugeot 308 family is making its debut. All three modifications have been through the styling: the hatchback, estate and coupe-cabrio. The front after that became, on the one hand, more laconic, on the other hand – more presentable due to the LED lights and chrome trim.
A thin chrome molding appeared on the boot cap; the hood badge became a bit larger and the rear bumper – sportier due to an imitated run-out.
There are also some technical improvements: the mass was lowered by 25 kg, the drag coefficient now is 0.28 – according to the French, it’s the best index in this class. One more thing which is applied to the new 308 is tyres with low rolling resistance.
In combination with the above-mentioned, new engines make the Peugeot 308 quite economical and an environmentally friendly vehicle: the modified exhaust produces less than 98g CO2 per kilometre. In Europe the new 308 will go on sale in May 2011.
