Following the restyling of the usual C-Class the AMG saloon and estate are presented by the Germans. The debut is being held in Geneva this spring.

The Mercedez-Benz C63 AMG has received the body kit from other “charged” model – the CL 63 AMG: i.e. the front bumper with enlarged air intakes, another grille with the only crosspiece, and the rear bumper with a massive run-out. The car is also supplied with different lights with LED insets, 18-inch wheeldisks renewed outwardly and an aluminium hood.

From the inside there is an improved combination of gadgets, both the steering wheel and the seats are sports; plus some additional edging variants with aluminium or glossy black insets.

At the heart of it all there is an atmospheric 6.3-litre V8 which produces 457 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with 7-graded transmission SpeedShift MCT. Starting to a hundred takes 4.5 seconds for the saloon and 4.6 for the estate. The limiter comes on as is – at the 250 km/h mark.

Moreover, by tradition the AMG Performance Package is optional, offering to increase the power up to 487 hp. In this case the car does a hundred in one tenth of a second less.

The sales are starting this July at the price of from €71 340.
