Swiss automaker Rinspeed, mainly occupied with exclusive car production and tuning, is going to come to the Geneva Motor Show with a minimal Bamboo Concept next year.
The creators claim that they didn’t mean to strike the audience, but they wanted this car to awake some pleasant feelings and associations: the sun, summer, a beach, ease and simplicity. To someone this concept will remind of the 70s, the south of France and St Tropez. It is quite easy, authors say, to imagine Brigitte Bardot on the passenger seat, going to Tahiti with the millionaire Gunter Sachs.
The Rinspeed Bamboo is a 4-seater. There is also a bicycle hidden in the boot in case it is impossible to get to some places by car. Under the hood there is an electric motor rated at 54 kw with estimated top speed of 120 km/h. 0-50 km/h takes 4.7 sec.
It wouldn’t have been the Frank Rinderknecht if the car hadn’t got some kind of a neat trick: much of the interior elements made of… bamboo.
