The whole thing was Australian Top Gear’s idea who went to the local Ford’s designers and asked them to draw something for the Mad Max from the same-named movie. Remember, in the first episode Max had a modified version of the Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe, but this time it is a freestyle design.

It was closed contest with just a few designers involved who were working on the projects for Mad Max under the stewardship of Todd Willing, the Chief Designer at Ford in Australia. In the end the Top Gear’s audience got an alternative of two candidates, Nima Nourian and Simon Brook, with the winner having his baby built which should happen this year. Add to this the fourth “Mad Max” now being prepared for shooting – guess what car he most likely would have?
