Unveiled at Auto Shanghai – 2011, the Kia K2 is interpreted as a vehicle “designed and engineered especially for the Chinese market”, though it was based on the European Rio presented at the previous motor show.

The new car looks like a smaller Optima and is positioned as a B-segment saloon, suitable prices and configurations are still unconfirmed. “Futuristic” interior hasn’t been revealed as of yet.

The dimensions: 4370 mm long, 1700 mm wide, 1460 mm high, the wheelbase is 2570 mm. In China the vehicle will go on sale with a petrol engine with 1.4 l or 1.6 l producing either 107 or 123 hp. The local market will have local production in the joint venture, Dongfeng Yueda Kia.
