To maintain the momentum of the DS line, Citroen has decided to create a styling department dedicated to this distinctive vehicle line. The new organisation, which comes into effect on 1 June, will make an even clearer distinction between C-range vehicle styling and DS styling. The “DS line” styling department will be managed by Thierry Metroz, while Alexandre Malval will be in charge of C-range styling.

To make an even clearer distinction in styling between the C range and the DS line, Citroen has decided to set up a new entity dedicated to the DS line within the Styling division.

Managed by Thierry Metroz, the new entity will seek to develop the unique character of the DS and to reinforce its complementarity with the main Citroen range.

C-range styling will be managed by Alexandre Malval, former head of styling for the Citroen DS5 and C5.

“To support the move upmarket and international expansion of Citroen, particularly in China, it is important to make a clearer distinction in styling between the C range and the DS line, each in their respective fields,” explains styling Frederic Banzet, Managing Director of the Citroen brand.

The new organisation comes into effect on 1 June.
