The interior concept Mercedes-Benz brought to USA is a kind of preview of what German interiors of the future will look like.

It is called Aesthetics No. 2. According to professor Gorden Wagener (the Head of Design), “inspiration is a prior condition for tranquil, cohesive, but still emotional design of Mercedes-Benz”. “When working on the Aesthetics No. 2, we let our artistic energy run free, without any restrictions. We explored the diversity of nature around, hence we created an object made of interactive and complementary elements”.

Inspiration came from architecture and aeronautics, e.g. the dashboard looks like a plane wing, the airways – like turbines. The 1.5:1 scale model has following dimensions: 5.6 m – 1.83 m – 2.6 m.

Let’s remember that the first model was presented as a teaser of new generation CLS’s one year ago at the same motor show.
