The winners of Terra Prix 2085 Design Competition

Created by the Local Motors community this competition was designed for fun, and brought about several changes to how Local Motors ran this competition: to help select the winners were invited a panel of world class judges - Harald Belker, Syd Mead, Scott Robertson, and Daniel Simon.

The 3 winners are:

1st Place:
Terrahornet
Designer: Andre Doumenc
Crazy insectoid race vehicle.


2nd Place:
Squadro
Designer: Mahdi Garoosi
A 2sided vehicle powered by fuell cell Runs on both sides, front and back, No tipover Half of the body rotates to adjust to the terrain allowing a 3wheeler mode for rough conditions The cabin revolves in all directions to adjust position and make a greater driving pleasure.


3rd Place:
Maloka
Designer: Mark Przeslawski
"Team GB tackle the Terra Prix 2085! Captained and financed by eccentric millionaire Lord Sydney Wilson, along with his hand selected support team of the best drivers, mechanics and team members from the British isles. The supporting Koponan ship is based on a traditional sailing craft, with the captains quarters at the rear of the ship and a ranking system through out the decks on board. The ground vehicle, known as a Maloka, is a 4 wheeled drive attack rally vehicle. Featuring an asymmetrical driving and engine arrangement, as well as a high powered front and rear lighting system. All vehicles are IPRF approved."
